Alura Alternative: 4 Options Compared (September 2026)

Alura alternative searches come from a specific place. Alura is an all-in-one Etsy platform (research, shop operations and marketing in one subscription) and its own home page sells it exactly that way: “Find winning products, master SEO, and increase sales, all in one powerful platform.” That breadth is the appeal and the problem. If the part you actually use is one slice of it, you are paying for the other three.

The short answer: Alura is worth keeping if you want one login and one bill for research, ads and shop admin, and it is worth leaving if your hard question is a narrow one. As of September 2026, its paid plans run from $7.99 to $29.99 a month, and four narrower tools cover the individual jobs for less.

Everything about Alura, eRank, EverBee and Sale Samurai below was read from each company’s own pricing page in September 2026. Prices and limits change, so check the page before you subscribe.

What Alura costs as of September 2026

Alura’s pricing page shows four plans and a monthly/annual toggle that says “Save up to 57 % on annual billing”. The annual rates themselves are not displayed (only the monthly figures), so compare on the toggle before you commit to a year.

Two things to know before you price it against anything else:

Who should stay with Alura

Stay if any of these is true, because the narrower tools below do not replace them one for one:

The reason people leave is usually narrower than the reason they joined: they subscribed for research, or for writing, and found they were paying for a suite.

The four alternatives at a glance

Tool Best for Free plan Paid entry (September 2026)
eRank Keyword research and listing audits Yes: 5 lookups and 5 audits a day, no time limit $5.99/month ($65.99/year)
EverBee Product research with sales and revenue figures Hobby: free forever $24.99/month ($299/year billed annually)
Sale Samurai Finding products with proven demand None shown; 3-day trial $19.99/month ($16.65/month billed yearly)
ListingBrief AI Writing the title, tags and description 5 free generations a day, no card $9.99/month ($99.99/year)

eRank: if the slice you use is keywords

eRank is built around keyword research, and its free plan is the most generous of the four: 5 keyword lookups, 5 listing audits and 1 AI Listing Helper use a day, with no time limit, on one shop.

Basic, at $5.99 a month or $65.99 a year, raises that to 100 keyword lookups and 50 listing audits a day. That is a fraction of Alura’s Growth price for the research half of the job.

Worth switching for if: keyword research is what you open Alura for, and you have never touched its ads, Pinterest or follow-up tools.

Not worth it if: you rely on Alura’s competitor research across shops: eRank’s free tier covers one shop, and its paid limits are daily counts on lookups, not depth of history.

For a fuller side-by-side of the two research-led tools, see eRank vs EverBee.

EverBee: if the slice you use is sales data

EverBee’s paid plans are priced around one thing: sales, revenue and conversion figures on the listings you browse. That is the data Alura’s research plans gesture at, and EverBee’s Hobby plan is free forever with 10 keyword searches and views, reviews and favourites on the listings you look at.

Growth, at $24.99 a month billed annually ($299 a year), unlocks unlimited keyword research with a Keyword Score, a Tag Analyzer, 100 AI actions a month and 3 store connections. Business, at $69 a month billed annually ($828 a year), removes the caps and extends trend history to 3, 6, 12 and 24 months and beyond.

Worth switching for if: deciding what to make next is your hard question, and you want sales figures rather than a research suite.

Not worth it if: you want the listing written. EverBee’s plans are not centred on the writing step. A fuller breakdown is in our EverBee pricing guide.

Sale Samurai: if the slice you use is product research on a budget

Sale Samurai shows no free plan on its pricing page as of October 2026. Its paid plans are $19.99 a month, or $16.65 a month billed as $199.90 yearly, and all options advertise a 3-day free trial.

It sits between the two above: more research depth than eRank’s free tier, a lower entry price than EverBee’s Growth plan, and a Chrome extension included on the paid tiers.

Worth switching for if: you want demand signals on products without committing to a year, and its 3-day card-free trial is enough to test whether the workflow suits you.

Not worth it if: you need multi-year history or multi-shop coverage. That is where the other tools’ paid tiers go further.

ListingBrief AI: if the slice you use is writing the listing

The three tools above help you decide what to sell and which words shoppers use. None of them writes the listing for you, and that is usually the step that stalls a refresh: you have the keywords, and you still have to turn them into a title, thirteen tags and a description that reads like a person wrote it.

ListingBrief AI is the writing tool for that step. For Etsy it produces a title under 140 characters (Etsy’s hard limit, not a target to fill), exactly 13 multi-word tags each under 20 characters, and a description that opens with what the item is and why it is worth buying. It also writes Shopify product descriptions.

Worth adding if: your research is already done (by Alura, eRank, EverBee or Sale Samurai) and the thing that takes you an hour is the writing.

Not worth it if: you want the sales and revenue figures. ListingBrief AI does not do research; it writes the listing from the product notes you give it.

How to switch

You do not have to cancel anything to try an alternative: every tool above has a free tier you can run beside Alura for a week.

  1. Write down the one job you open Alura for. Not the feature list: the task you did last Tuesday.
  2. Match that job to a free tier. Keywords, sales figures, budget product research, or writing the listing.
  3. Run both for a week. Keep a note of anything you went back to Alura for. If the note is empty, you have your answer.
  4. Moving to eRank: connect your shop so its audits and traffic reports can start, and rebuild your keyword lists there.
  5. Moving to EverBee or Sale Samurai: install the Chrome extension and recreate the lists you rely on.
  6. Adding a writing tool: paste your product notes in, and check the title against Etsy’s 140-character limit and the tags against the 20-character cap before you publish.

Pay monthly first if you are unsure. Alura’s annual discount is real but not displayed on the pricing page, and an annual plan only saves money if you are still using the tool in month eight.

The short version

Alura is an all-in-one, and it is priced like one: $7.99 to $29.99 a month across four plans, with a free tier that caps you at 5 keyword and product searches a day. If you use the suite, keep it. If you subscribed for one slice, the slice is cheaper elsewhere: eRank at $5.99 for keywords, EverBee at $24.99 billed annually for sales data, Sale Samurai at $19.99 for budget product research, and if the slice is the writing itself, that is what ListingBrief AI does, from $9.99 a month with 5 free generations a day to try first.
