eRank Alternative: What to Switch To When Price Isn't the Reason

Most tools get replaced because they cost too much. eRank is the opposite. As of September 2026 its free plan is $0 with no time limit, and its cheapest paid plan is $5.99 a month, which makes it one of the cheapest serious Etsy tools you can buy. So when someone searches for an eRank alternative, the complaint is almost never the bill. It is that eRank hands you data and you still have to do the work.

That points at three different tools depending on which part you are stuck on. If you want sales and revenue figures on individual listings, that is EverBee. If you want research plus the shop tools eRank leaves out, in one subscription, that is Alura. And if the research was never your bottleneck (if you already know what to sell and you are stuck writing the title, the 13 tags and the description), none of the research tools are centred on that, which is the case this site exists for.

Below: what each option is built for, what it costs, who should stay on eRank, and how to move without losing your saved keyword work.

Every plan and limit below was read from each company’s own pricing page in September 2026. Prices and limits change, so open the page before you subscribe.

What you are actually replacing

eRank describes itself on its own home page as:

Welcome to eRank, Your Ultimate Etsy Success Tool

and names five things it does: Keyword Research (“Find global keywords for your niche”), Competitor Analysis, Trend Tracking, Shop Health, and a Chrome extension that puts the data on Etsy itself. It is a research and diagnostics tool. It tells you what people search for, how your listing scores, and what your competitors are doing.

Nearly every tool is on every paid plan. What money buys is a bigger daily allowance:

Plan Price Keyword lookups/day Listing audits/day AI Listing Helper/day
Free $0 5 5 1
Basic $5.99/mo ($65.99/yr) 100 50 10
Pro $9.99/mo ($94.99/yr) 200 200 20
Expert $29.99/mo ($269.99/yr) 500 500 100

The last column is the one worth reading twice, because it is where most “eRank alternative” searches actually come from. eRank does have an AI Listing Helper. It is not that the feature is missing. It is metered by the day: one use a day on Free, ten on Basic. If your working pattern is sitting down on a Sunday and refreshing fifteen listings at once, the daily cap on the writing half is what you hit first, long before you run out of keyword lookups.

Being clear about which wall you hit changes the answer completely. Running out of lookups means you want a bigger research tool. Running out of listing help means you want a different kind of tool altogether.

Who should stay with eRank

Switching is the wrong move for a lot of people, and this is the honest list:

If your only complaint is that eRank looks cluttered, try the free plan of one other tool before you cancel anything. The Etsy tool market is full of dashboards, and swapping one for another usually buys a new layout rather than a new answer.

For sales and revenue per listing: EverBee

This is the single most common thing eRank does not do the way people want it to. eRank tracks estimated daily sales for competitor shops you deliberately monitor. EverBee puts estimated sales, revenue and conversion rate on listings as you browse.

As of October 2026 EverBee’s plans are Hobby ($0), Growth ($39/mo month to month, or $24.99/mo billed annually at $299/yr) and Business ($99/mo month to month, or $69/mo billed annually at $828/yr). The free Hobby tier is genuinely limited: “Product Analytics: views, reviews, favorites” and 10 keywords, with sales and revenue held back for Growth. Growth also includes unlimited keyword research with a Keyword Score, a Tag Analyzer, and 100 AI Actions a month.

Best for: sellers doing product research: deciding what to make next rather than how to describe what they already sell.

The trade-off: it is roughly four times the price of eRank Basic, and the free tier will not answer the question you came for. We have a fuller breakdown in our EverBee pricing guide and a direct eRank vs EverBee comparison.

For one subscription instead of four: Alura

Alura is the broadest single-subscription replacement. It bundles the research eRank does with things eRank does not do at all: listing optimisation, email marketing to your buyers, review management, Pinterest pins and A/B tests.

As of September 2026 its plans are Free ($0), Basic ($7.99/mo), Growth ($14.99/mo) and Professional ($29.99/mo), with up to 57% off advertised for annual billing. The free plan allows “5 daily keyword & product searches” and AI listing optimisation for about 20 listings. Basic raises searches to 50 a day and listing optimisation to about 40 a month, and adds 2,000 AI credits and 50 customer follow-ups a month. Growth advertises “Higher usage limits” plus 4 active A/B tests and 15 Pinterest pins a day.

Best for: sellers currently paying for a research tool and an email tool and something for Pinterest. Collapsing three bills into $14.99 is a real saving.

The trade-off: breadth costs depth. Each module is competent rather than best-in-class, and the AI credits are capped monthly rather than unlimited.

For letter-graded listing feedback: Marmalead

Marmalead’s angle is grading. It scores listings and keywords and tells you where they are weak (how much demand a phrase has, engagement, seasonality, forecasting), plus AI features that critique a description, generate FAQs and, as its home page now advertises, write titles and tags.

It is the only tool here with no free plan and no free trial on the pricing page. As of September 2026 it is $19/month, $53/quarter ($18/mo), $190/year ($16/mo), or a one-time $300 lifetime licence that it labels best value.

Best for: sellers who want a second opinion scored on a scale, and anyone who would rather pay once than subscribe. If you expect to sell on Etsy for years, $300 once is less than two years of most monthly plans.

The trade-off: you cannot try it for nothing, which is a real barrier when eRank’s free plan is sitting right there.

For Etsy keyword data in the browser: Sale Samurai

Sale Samurai covers much the same ground as eRank (Etsy search demand and trends, high-ranking keywords, competitor listings, a shop analytics dashboard), with a Chrome extension included on the paid plans.

As of October 2026 there is no free plan on the pricing page. Paid is $19.99/month or $199.90/year ($16.65/mo), both with a 3-day free trial.

Best for: sellers who prefer its interface, or who want a monthly search allowance rather than a daily one. A monthly pool suits people who work in bursts; a daily reset suits people who work a little every day.

The trade-off: at $19.99 it is more than three times eRank Basic for a broadly similar job, so switching here is a preference, not an upgrade.

If the research was never the problem

Every option above answers the same question, what should I put in this listing?, by handing you more information. That is the right answer when you do not know what to sell. It is the wrong answer when you know exactly what you sell and the listing is still blank.

ListingBrief AI does the other half. You give it your product notes, and it writes the Etsy title within the 140-character limit, all 13 tags as distinct multi-word phrases inside Etsy’s 20-character-per-tag limit, and the description, as one output, grounded in the marketplace’s own field rules rather than in a guess about how Etsy ranks things.

Three of those are free with no account at all: the Etsy title generator, the Etsy tag generator and the Shopify description generator. A free account adds 5 complete listings with no card. Pro is $9.99/month or $99.99/year, with no credit counter and no per-listing charge.

Be clear about what this is not: there is no keyword demand database here, no competitor tracking and no revenue estimates. It is not an eRank replacement for research. Plenty of sellers sensibly keep eRank’s free plan for lookups and use a writer for the listing itself. If you want the tag side explained first, our complete guide to Etsy’s 13 tags covers the rules either tool has to work inside.

How to switch without losing your work

  1. Copy your Keyword Lists out before you downgrade. eRank allows 1 list on Free, 25 on Basic, 50 on Pro and 100 on Expert, so dropping a tier can put saved lists out of reach. A spreadsheet takes five minutes.
  2. Downgrade rather than delete. eRank’s free plan has no time limit, so keeping a $0 account preserves your history and gives you five lookups a day for nothing. There is rarely a reason to close it.
  3. Try the replacement’s free tier for a full week first. Alura has a free plan, Sale Samurai has a 3-day trial with no card, and EverBee has a free tier that will not show sales data. A week of real use tells you more than any comparison table, including this one.
  4. Do not run two research tools at once. The most common overspend in this category is paying for eRank and EverBee to answer the same question in two interfaces.
  5. Cancel with the billing date in mind. Annual plans are cheaper per month and much less flexible; if you are unsure, pay monthly through the first switch.

The short version

If you are leaving eRank over price, reconsider: at $0 to $5.99 there is nothing meaningfully cheaper, and the free plan never expires. If you are leaving because you want revenue numbers on listings, go to EverBee. If you want research plus marketing tools in one bill, go to Alura. If you want a graded second opinion or a one-time purchase, Marmalead. If you want the same job in a different interface, Sale Samurai.

And if the honest answer is that you already know what to sell and you are tired of staring at an empty title field, the tool you want is not another research dashboard. Start with the free tools (no signup) and see whether writing was the part you were stuck on all along.
