EverBee vs Alura: Which Etsy Tool Fits Your Shop?

EverBee vs Alura looks like a price comparison and is really a scope comparison. EverBee is a depth tool pointed at one question (what should I sell) and answers it with sales, revenue and trend figures on real Etsy listings. Alura is a breadth tool pointed at how do I run this shop: research, plus listing optimisation, Pinterest pinning, Etsy Ads, email and customer follow-ups in one subscription. The two overlap on research and diverge everywhere else.

The short answer: pick EverBee if the decision costing you money is what to make next, and Alura if you are paying for three tools that Alura would collapse into one. On price they are not close (Alura’s first paid tier is $7.99 a month and EverBee’s is $24.99 on annual billing, $39 paid monthly), but the cheaper tool is only cheaper if it does your job.

Every plan, price and limit below was read from each company’s own pricing page in September 2026. These change; open the page before you subscribe.

What EverBee is built for

EverBee is a research tool first. Its pricing page closes with the pitch in one line:

EverBee shows you exactly what’s working right now - so you can launch products people already want.

That is the job. You point it at a listing or a shop and it reports what that listing appears to earn (sales, revenue, conversion rate) alongside trend and growth curves. The named modules on the current plan comparison are Product Analytics, Trends & Growth Rate, a Tag Analyzer, Keyword Research with a Keyword Score, Hot Filters, AI Actions, an MCP integration, a Chrome extension that puts the numbers on Etsy search itself, and saved favourites in folders.

Its plans, as of September 2026:

Plan Price What it buys
Hobby $0, “Free forever” Product analytics limited to views, reviews and favourites; keyword research capped at 10 keywords; basic filters; 5 saved keywords, 5 shops, 1 custom folder
Growth $24.99/month, billed annually at $299 Sales, revenue and conversion in Product Analytics; unlimited keyword research with Keyword Score; 3 Hot Filters; Tag Analyzer; 100 AI Actions a month; MCP access; 1,000 saved keywords, 100 shops, 10 folders; 3 store connections
Business $69/month, billed annually at $828 Everything in Growth with unlimited custom filters, unlimited AI Actions, unlimited favourites and unlimited store connections

Two things are worth pulling out of that table. The free tier deliberately withholds the number people come for. Hobby gives you views, reviews and favourites, and sales and revenue start at Growth. And there is no trial above the free tier: the FAQ says plainly, “we currently don’t have a free trial. However, the Hobby plan itself is completely free.”

Best for: sellers whose bottleneck is the product decision: validating a niche before they spend a weekend making samples.

The trade-off: it tells you what is selling and then stops. Nothing in EverBee posts, pins, emails or writes.

What Alura is built for

Alura is the opposite shape. Its own feature menu spans four categories (Research, Marketing, Optimization, Operations), and in the company’s descriptions those read: Keyword Research to “Find winning keywords to rank higher in Etsy search”, Product Research to “Analyze best-sellers to spot trends and validate ideas”, Competitor Research, Listing Optimization to “Get actionable steps to improve your listings and boost sales”, A/B Tests on “your images, titles, and prices”, Pinterest Marketing, Etsy Ads Management to “Automatically cut wasted ad spend”, Email Marketing, Customer Followups, and an AI Customer Support assistant.

Its plans, as of September 2026, at the annual rates the pricing page shows by default:

Plan Price What it buys
Free $0.00/mo 5 daily keyword & product searches; AI listing optimisation for about 20 listings; limited research databases; profit calculator; Chrome extension
Basic $7.99/mo 50 daily keyword & product searches; AI listing optimisation for “about 40” listings a month; saved lists and folders; 2,000 AI credits a month; 50 customer follow-ups; priority support
Growth $14.99/mo Higher usage limits; advanced data and filters; full research databases; 15 Pinterest pins a day; 4 active A/B tests; Etsy Ads optimisation; limited Analytics Suite; CSV export
Professional $29.99/mo Unlimited usage of every tool; multiple connected shops; 20 active A/B tests; 40 pins a day; 5,000 email contacts a month

The pricing page is set to annual by default and advertises “Save up to 57 % on annual billing” against paying monthly, so treat those figures as the annual-commitment rate and check the monthly toggle before you budget. Refund terms are stated on the same page: every paid plan carries a 7-day money-back guarantee, and emailing Alura in the first 7 days after a payment gets that payment refunded in full.

Best for: a seller already paying for a research tool and an email tool and something for Pinterest. Alura at $14.99 is the cheapest way to collapse that into one bill.

The trade-off: breadth costs depth. Each module is competent rather than best-in-class, and per-plan caps sit on the parts you are most likely to lean on: AI credits, pins, follow-ups, A/B tests.

The price gap, read honestly

Alura’s Basic is roughly a third of EverBee’s Growth, and its Professional tier still costs less than EverBee’s cheapest paid plan. That is a real difference, but it is not a like-for-like saving, because the two plans are not selling the same thing.

EverBee Growth Alura Growth
Monthly price $24.99 $14.99
Annual commitment $299 Advertised at up to 57% off monthly
Per-listing sales and revenue Yes Not its centre
Marketing automation None Pinterest, Etsy Ads, email
Usage model Unlimited keyword research, 100 AI Actions/month “Higher usage limits” than Basic

If the number you open a tool for is how much did this listing make last month, EverBee’s Growth plan is what you are buying and Alura’s price is irrelevant. If you open a tool to fix listings and keep customers coming back, you would be paying EverBee at least $10 a month more for a figure you rarely act on.

Who should stay with EverBee

Who should switch to Alura

The step both stop short of

Here is the thing neither tool does, and it is the one most sellers spend the evening on: after all the research, you still have to write the listing. EverBee hands you a validated product and a keyword list. Alura hands you a keyword list, an optimisation score and a to-do. Both then leave you staring at an empty title field, 13 empty tag slots and a description box.

That is the job ListingBrief AI is built for. You give it the product (or let the Chrome extension read the listing you already have open) and it returns a title inside Etsy’s character limit, all 13 tags inside the 20-character rule, and a description written for the listing rather than pasted from a template. It is not a research tool and does not pretend to be: use EverBee or Alura to decide what to sell, then use this to write it.

New accounts get 5 free generations a day with no card, and there are no-signup tools you can try right now: the Etsy title generator and the Etsy tag generator. Pro is $9.99 a month or $99.99 a year, with no monthly cap and no credit counter.

How to switch, either direction

  1. Export first. Whichever tool you are leaving, get your saved keywords and shortlists out while the subscription is still active. Alura’s CSV export starts on the Growth tier, and EverBee’s saved folders go with the plan.
  2. Cancel at the end of the period, not the start. Both run your access to the end of the cycle you paid for, so cancelling early buys you nothing.
  3. Use the free tier as the trial. EverBee has no trial above Hobby, and Alura’s free plan gives you every tool at 5 searches a day. A fortnight on the free tier answers the fit question better than a refund request does.
  4. Move one job at a time. Switching research, email and optimisation in the same week makes it impossible to tell which change helped.

The verdict

EverBee vs Alura comes down to depth against breadth. EverBee is the better answer to what should I sell, and you pay $24.99 a month on annual billing ($39 month to month) for a figure nothing else reports as cleanly. Alura is the better answer to how do I run this shop, and at $7.99 to $29.99 it replaces a stack rather than a tool. If you are choosing on price alone, Alura wins on the invoice and may lose on the decision you actually needed help with.

And whichever you keep, the listing still has to be written. More on the surrounding jobs in our EverBee alternative and Alura alternative guides, in EverBee vs Marmalead, and in the practical Etsy tags guide.
