eRank Review 2026: What It Does Well, and What It Leaves You to Do

Short version of this eRank review: eRank is the cheapest credible way to find out what Etsy shoppers are looking for, and as of September 2026 it runs from $0 to $29.99 a month with a free plan that has no time limit and needs no card. It is worth paying for if your bottleneck is knowing what to list and which of your listings is underperforming. It is the wrong buy if your bottleneck is writing the listing: eRank’s own writing feature is capped at a handful of uses a day on the plans most sellers are on.

Below: what eRank actually does, what each plan allows, the three places it stops short, who should buy it, and what to use instead when the job is the text rather than the research.

Every price, plan limit and quoted line about eRank below was read from erank.com in September 2026. Plans and limits change, so open the page before you subscribe.

What eRank is, in one paragraph

eRank is a research and audit suite for Etsy sellers, used in the browser and through a Chrome extension that overlays its data on Etsy itself. Its own plans page groups the tools into four jobs: Keyword Research (“Find global keywords for your niche and stand out on Etsy”), Competitor Analysis, Trend Tracking (“trending product data and seasonal searches across marketplaces”) and Shop Health. The extension is described as gathering “keyword insights and competitor data directly on Etsy, Printify, Shopify, Amazon and more”, and the keyword tools cover “over a dozen marketplaces, including Etsy, Amazon and eBay” rather than Etsy alone.

That breadth is the thing to hold onto through the rest of this review. eRank is not an Etsy keyword box; it is a dashboard for the decisions around a listing (what to make, who else makes it, how your shop is doing), and its plans are sold accordingly.

What eRank costs as of September 2026

Free Basic Pro Expert
Monthly $0 $5.99/mo $9.99/mo $29.99/mo
Paid annually $0 $5.50/mo ($65.99/yr) $7.92/mo ($94.99/yr) $22.50/mo ($269.99/yr)
Stated annual saving None $6/yr $25/yr $90/yr
Keyword lookups 5/day 100/day 200/day 500/day
Listing audits 5/day 50/day 200/day 500/day
AI Listing Helper 1/day 10/day 20/day 100/day
Shops connected 1 Up to 5 Up to 10 Up to 100
Active listings analysed Up to 50 Up to 200 Up to 4,000 Up to 5,000
Competitors monitored 1 5 50 200
Keyword lists 1 25 50 100
Rank Checker 10 25 50 100

Two notes on that table. eRank’s plans page states the Basic competitor allowance two different ways (5 on the plan card, 25 in the detailed feature comparison below it), so if competitor tracking is what decides your tier, check the live page rather than either number. And the plans are described as allowances rather than feature bundles: nearly every tool appears on nearly every tier, and what money buys is a bigger number of uses per day. We went through the tiers one by one in what eRank’s Free, Basic, Pro and Expert plans buy.

Billing runs through Paddle, which eRank names as its payment processor on the same page; cards, PayPal, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Bancontact and iDeal are all listed. The free membership, in eRank’s own words, needs no “credit card or payment information” and has “no limited timeline”.

What eRank does well

The free plan is a real tool, not a demo. Five keyword lookups a day, five listing audits a day, one connected shop with up to 50 listings tracked, one use a day of the AI Listing Helper, and the Chrome extension. A seller adding a listing or two a week can sit on $0 indefinitely and still get the core of what eRank sells.

The price of the first paid step is unusually low. Basic at $5.99 a month multiplies the daily numbers by roughly ten. Among the Etsy research tools this is the cheapest serious entry point by some distance, and it is cheap enough that the $6 annual saving is not worth committing a year for.

It audits what you already have. Listing audits check a listing “for how well it complies with Etsy’s guidelines”, and Rank Checker shows “what the average Etsy buyer sees in search results and where your listings rank”. That is a different question from what to write next, and most writing tools do not answer it at all.

The data is not Etsy-only. Trend Buzz and the Keyword Tool reach across a dozen-plus marketplaces, which matters if you also sell on Amazon, eBay or a Shopify store and want one vocabulary across them.

The ceiling is genuinely high. Expert connects up to 100 shops and monitors 200 competitors. If you manage shops for other people, there is somewhere to go.

What eRank leaves you to do

It hands you the research, not the listing. This is the honest limit of the whole product. eRank tells you which phrases have demand and which of your listings is weak; it does not sit down and write the 140-character title, the 13 tags and the description. That work is still yours.

Its writing feature is the most tightly capped thing on the price list. eRank’s AI Listing Helper “generate[s] optimized titles, tags and descriptions”, and it is 1 a day on Free, 10 on Basic, 20 on Pro, 100 on Expert, resetting daily rather than monthly. If you refresh a shop in weekend batches, that allowance is the binding constraint, and you cannot borrow tomorrow’s.

The interface assumes you enjoy dashboards. The volume of tools is the selling point and also the cost: the number of reports, lists and graded panels is a lot to walk through when the question you arrived with was “is this title any good?”.

Who should buy eRank, and which tier

You are Buy Why
Listing occasionally, one shop Free, $0 Five lookups and five audits a day covers a listing done properly; no card, no expiry
Listing or refreshing in sessions Basic, $5.99/mo Ten times the daily allowance is what stops you running out mid-task
Watching a niche, not one listing Pro, $9.99/mo 50 competitors monitored and 4,000 connected shop listings, not the doubled lookups
Running several shops, or client shops Expert, $29.99/mo Up to 100 shops and 200 competitors; nothing else on the list reaches that
Stuck on the writing, not the research Keep eRank cheap Pair Free or Basic with a tool that writes, rather than paying for headroom you use once

Stay with eRank if you need to know what buyers search for, if you want your existing listings audited against Etsy’s guidelines, or if you are tracking competitors across shops. None of that is replaceable by a writing tool, and at $5.99 a month there is very little to argue about.

When something else is the better buy

The case for spending the money elsewhere is narrow and specific: you already know roughly what to say, and the expensive part is saying it, repeatedly, inside Etsy’s rules.

If that is you, the arithmetic changes. eRank Pro is $9.99 a month and gives 20 AI Listing Helper uses a day. ListingBrief AI Pro is also $9.99 a month ($99.99 for a year) and generation is unlimited under fair use (no credit counter, no per-listing cost), but it does no keyword research and tracks no competitors. You are buying volume on one job instead of breadth across several.

The cheap combination is the interesting one: eRank Free or Basic for the research, a writer for the text. Together they cost less than most single mid-tier Etsy subscriptions, and the daily cap lands somewhere it does not bite.

Concretely, on the writing side: titles that lead with the objective traits a shopper scans for and stay inside Etsy’s 140 characters; exactly 13 multi-word tags, each inside the 20-character limit and covering different ways a buyer might describe the item; descriptions that open with what the item is and why it is worth buying; and a validator that checks title length, tag count, tag length and description structure against Etsy’s published limits before you publish. A Chrome extension puts the fields into the Etsy Shop Manager and Shopify editors you already have open, and bulk generation takes a pasted list of products.

If you want to compare eRank against the other research tools rather than against a writer, we have eRank vs EverBee, Marmalead vs eRank and Alura vs eRank, plus what to switch to when price isn’t the reason.

The verdict

eRank is well judged for its job and honestly priced for it. A free tier real enough to work in, a $5.99 step that removes the friction, and higher tiers that only make sense at a scale most sellers never reach: that is a good product doing what it says.

Just be clear about which job you are buying. eRank is a research and audit tool that includes a small amount of writing help, not a writing tool that includes research, and the daily cap on the AI Listing Helper is where that distinction stops being philosophical. If the research is your bottleneck, buy it. If the words are, keep eRank on Free or Basic and put the money where the work actually is. Five free listings a day, no card, will tell you within an afternoon which of the two you are.
