Best Etsy SEO Tool in 2026: Five Compared by the Job You Need Done

The best Etsy SEO tool for most sellers is the one that fixes the part of the job they are actually stuck on. If you are stuck on price, eRank’s free plan is the place to start. If you want research plus marketing in one bill, Alura. If you want to know what sells before you make it, EverBee. If you want to pay once and stop renting, Marmalead. If you research inside Etsy itself, Sale Samurai. And if your keywords are fine but writing the listing takes all evening, none of those five is aimed at that problem, which is a different tool.

This guide reads each company’s own pricing page as of September 2026 and sorts the options by job rather than by a star rating. Every plan and price below was read from the vendor’s own site that month. Prices change, so open the page before you subscribe.

What “Etsy SEO” actually covers

Etsy SEO is two jobs that get sold as one.

Almost every tool in this category is a research tool first. That matters, because a seller who already knows their keywords can pay for a research subscription and still spend the evening writing. Decide which half is your bottleneck before you compare prices. Our guides to writing Etsy titles and using all 13 tags cover the writing half on their own.

The best Etsy SEO tools at a glance

Tool Best for Free option Cheapest paid Top plan
eRank Cheap, broad keyword research Free plan, no time limit $5.99/mo Expert, $29.99/mo
Alura Research plus Pinterest, email and A/B tests Free plan $7.99/mo Professional, $29.99/mo
EverBee Product research: what sells Hobby, free forever Growth, $24.99/mo billed annually Business, $69/mo billed annually
Marmalead Scored keywords, one plan, lifetime option None $19/mo $300 once, lifetime
Sale Samurai Research inside the Etsy page Freemium, $0 $19.99/mo One paid plan

eRank: the cheapest serious research tool

eRank’s plans page as of September 2026 lists four tiers:

Plan Monthly Billed annually Keyword lookups Listing audits
Free $0, “no time limit” $0 5/day 5/day
Basic $5.99 $65.99 100/day 50/day
Pro $9.99 $94.99 200/day 200/day
Expert $29.99 $269.99 500/day 500/day

The free plan also includes one use a day of its AI Listing Helper, which eRank’s page describes as a way to “Generate optimized titles, tags and descriptions”. Paid tiers add competitor monitoring (5, 50 and 200 competitors) and more connected listings.

eRank is best for a seller who wants keyword data, listing audits and competitor tracking without a big bill. The free plan is genuinely usable for a small shop, and Basic is the cheapest paid plan in this list. If you want the full picture of its tiers, our eRank pricing breakdown goes plan by plan.

Alura: research plus the tools that run a shop

Alura’s pricing page lists Free at $0.00/mo, Basic at $7.99/mo, Growth at $14.99/mo and Professional at $29.99/mo, with the annual toggle advertised as “Save up to 50%”. The free plan allows “Up to 5 daily searches/tool” and optimising 10 listings. Basic raises that to 50 daily searches per tool and 100 listings. Growth adds Pinterest marketing, A/B tests and Etsy Ads optimisation. Professional unlocks unlimited usage and multiple shops.

Its FAQ says you can “sign up for a free account without submitting any credit card information”, and that paid plans carry “a no questions asked 7-day cancellation period”.

Alura is best for a seller who wants one subscription to cover research and the marketing around it: automatic Pinterest pinning, follow-up messages to buyers and split tests on titles and prices. Nobody else in this list sells that bundle. For a head-to-head on the two cheapest research tools, see Alura vs eRank.

EverBee: what is selling, not only what is searched

EverBee answers a different question. Its pricing page as of September 2026 lists:

Plan Price Keyword research Sales and revenue data
Hobby $0/month, “Free forever” 10 keywords No, views, reviews and favorites only
Growth $24.99/month, “$299 per year” Unlimited, with Keyword Score Yes
Business $69/month, “Billed annually at $828” Unlimited, with Keyword Score Yes, plus longer trend history

Growth also includes “AI Actions: 100 actions per month” and a Tag Analyzer. The FAQ is direct about trials: “No, we currently don’t have a free trial.” The free Hobby plan is the way to test it.

EverBee is best for a seller deciding what to make next. Revenue and sales estimates per listing are the point of it. As a pure keyword tool it is expensive next to eRank; as a product research tool it has no equal here. Our EverBee pricing guide covers what each tier buys.

Marmalead: one plan, and a way to stop paying

Marmalead sells a single feature set at four billing lengths:

Billing Price Effective monthly
Monthly $19 paid monthly $19
Quarterly $53 paid quarterly $18
Annual $190 paid annually $16
Lifetime $300 paid once none after that

The page frames the lifetime option as “Pay once, save $840 (73%) over 5 years”. Its features include MarmaMeters that grade shopper demand, engagement and competition as bars, keyword seasonality and forecasting, and an AI description critique. There is no free plan and no trial on the page.

Marmalead is best for an established shop that has already decided keyword research is permanent and would rather pay $300 once than rent. It is a poor fit for a seller who wants to try before paying. Our Marmalead review goes deeper on the scoring.

Sale Samurai: research where you already are

Sale Samurai keeps its pricing short. As of September 2026 it sells a Freemium plan at $0 with “Keyword Research: 20 searches / month” and “Listings Analyzed: 10 searches / month”, and one paid plan at $19.99 a month or $199.90 a year (shown as $16.65/mo, “Two months free, every year”). Every plan starts with a 3-day trial, and its FAQ says there is “No credit card required to sign up”.

The paid plan includes a free Chrome extension that puts its keyword and competition data on the Etsy pages you already browse.

Sale Samurai is best for a seller who researches from inside Etsy and wants every feature on one flat plan. If you would rather work in a dashboard, eRank does most of the same job for less. Our Sale Samurai alternatives article covers that trade in detail.

How to choose the best Etsy SEO tool for your shop

Answer three questions, in order.

  1. Is research or writing your bottleneck? If you already know your keywords and the listing itself is the slow part, a research subscription will not fix it.
  2. How much will you pay to find out? eRank, Alura, EverBee and Sale Samurai all have a free way in. Marmalead does not.
  3. What else do you want in the bill? Marketing tools point to Alura. Sales estimates point to EverBee. A lifetime licence points to Marmalead.

Stay with the tool you already have if it answers the question you actually ask it. Switching research tools resets your saved keywords and your habits, and for most shops the difference between two of these is smaller than the difference between using one and not.

When the keywords are fine and the writing is the problem

Plenty of sellers know their product, their buyer and their phrases. What eats the evening is fitting a title into 140 characters so it still reads like a product, filling 13 tag slots with genuinely different phrases rather than one keyword spelled five ways, and writing a description a buyer finishes.

That is the job ListingBrief AI is built for. You write a few rough notes about a product and it drafts the Etsy title, all 13 tags and the description, following Etsy’s published limits for each field. Three free tools draft a title, a tag set or a Shopify description with no account. Signing in gives 5 free generations a day with no credit card, and Pro plans start at $9.99 a month with no per-listing charge.

It does not do keyword research, sales estimates or competitor tracking. If you need those, pick one of the five above and use this beside it.
