Sale Samurai vs EverBee: Which Etsy Tool Answers Your Question?

Sale Samurai vs EverBee is really a question about which half of Etsy you are stuck on. Sale Samurai is a keyword and demand tool: it tells you what shoppers are typing and which listings rank for it, for one flat price with every feature switched on. EverBee is a product-research tool: it estimates what listings are actually selling, in revenue and units, so you can decide what to make next. They overlap, and both live in a Chrome extension that works while you browse Etsy, but they answer different questions and they price very differently: as of September 2026, Sale Samurai has one paid plan at $19.99 a month, and EverBee’s cheapest paid plan is $24.99 a month on annual billing.

This article reads each company’s own pricing page as of September 2026, puts the plans side by side, and says plainly which seller should pick which, including when the honest answer is neither.

What Sale Samurai is for

Sale Samurai’s pricing page as of October 2026 shows two boxes: Monthly at $19.99 and Yearly at $16.65 a month, “Billed as $199.90 yearly” with the line “Two months free, every year”. Above them it says “All features included. No hidden costs. Start with a 3-day free trial.”

That is the thing worth understanding before comparing anything else. Sale Samurai has no feature tiers. There is one paid product, and the only decision is whether you pay monthly or yearly. The Monthly card describes what you get: finding products with proven demand, Etsy search trends, high-ranking keywords, spying on top-selling listings, a “Free Chrome extension included”, and a shop analytics dashboard.

There is no free plan to sit on. The way to try it is the trial: every plan carries a 3-day trial with “full access to all features”, and the FAQ says “No credit card required to sign up” and that you can “Cancel anytime during or after the trial with no questions asked.”

Three days is short, but it is the whole product rather than a capped sample, and it means you can evaluate Sale Samurai fully without handing over a card.

What EverBee is for

EverBee answers a different question, and prices in three tiers. As of September 2026:

EverBee plan Price What it adds
Hobby $0/month, “Free forever” Product analytics (views, reviews, favorites), 10 keywords, basic filters
Growth $24.99/month, “That comes to $468 $299 per year” Sales, revenue and conversion rate per listing; unlimited keyword research with Keyword Score; Trends & Growth Rate; Tag Analyzer; “AI Actions: 100 actions per month”; 3 store connections
Business $69/month, “Billed annually at $828 - save $360” Unlimited AI actions, unlimited custom filters, unlimited store connections, patterns “over 3, 6, 12, 24 months and beyond”

The headline number needs care. The $24.99 is the annual rate, not the monthly one. EverBee’s FAQ says so directly: “With the annual Growth plan you enjoy a 36% discount - just $24.99 per month, billed annually at $299.” Pay month to month and it is higher: the page’s own crossed-out comparison is $468 a year against $299. So the real entry price to EverBee’s useful tier is $299 committed up front.

And EverBee is blunt about trials: “No, we currently don’t have a free trial. However, the Hobby plan itself is completely free and doesn’t require any credit card information to sign up.” Ten keywords and no sales figures is the free sample. Hobby deliberately withholds the revenue data that is the whole reason to use EverBee.

“EverBee is your resource for identifying top-selling products on Etsy, empowering you to strategically optimize your product offerings for maximum profitability and growth.” (EverBee’s own FAQ, September 2026)

That sentence is a fair summary of the split. EverBee is pointed at what to make. Sale Samurai is pointed at how to get found.

Who should pick Sale Samurai

Who should pick EverBee

If you are new and unsure which question you have, start with Sale Samurai’s trial. It costs nothing, it takes no card, and three days of keyword data usually makes it obvious whether your problem is visibility or product-market fit. EverBee’s free tier cannot make that diagnosis for you, because the part that would is behind Growth.

Can you use both?

Yes, and plenty of sellers do, because they genuinely do different work. But at $19.99 plus $299 a year that is real money for a shop still finding its feet, and it buys two answers to questions you may only have one of. A reasonable sequence: use EverBee’s free Hobby tier for a few weeks, run Sale Samurai’s 3-day trial alongside it, and pay for whichever one you kept opening.

The part neither of them is built for

Here is what a plan comparison hides. Both of these are research tools, and both treat writing the actual listing as a metered add-on. Sale Samurai’s listing tools sit on the paid plan. EverBee meters “AI Actions”: 100 a month on Growth, unlimited only at $69.

That is a good deal if research is your bottleneck. It is a poor one the other way round. A lot of sellers already know exactly what they make and who buys it. They have the keywords, from either of these tools or from their own sales. What eats the evening is writing a title that fits Etsy’s 140 characters and still reads like a product rather than a keyword pile, filling all 13 tag slots with genuinely different phrases instead of one keyword spelled five ways, and writing a description a buyer actually finishes. For that seller, a research subscription is an expensive way to buy a small writing quota.

That is the job ListingBrief AI is built around. There are three free tools (an Etsy title generator, an Etsy tag generator and a Shopify description generator), each of which drafts one field from your rough product notes, with no account and no card, following what the marketplace publishes about that field: its character limit, how many you get, and what belongs in it. Signing in gives you 5 free generations of a full listing a day. Pro starts at $9.99 a month with unlimited fair-use generations and no per-listing charge. It does not do keyword research, sales estimates or competitor tracking. If you need those, you still need Sale Samurai or EverBee, and this sits beside them rather than replacing them.

How to switch, or run them side by side

  1. Write down the question you are actually stuck on. “Nobody finds my listings” points to Sale Samurai. “My listings get seen and nothing sells, and I don’t know what to make” points to EverBee.
  2. Use the free doors first. Sale Samurai’s 3-day trial needs no card; EverBee’s Hobby plan is free forever and needs no card either. Neither costs you anything but two sign-ups.
  3. Mind the billing shape when you commit. Sale Samurai’s $199.90 annual plan is paid for the year, so switch away at renewal rather than eating the remainder. EverBee’s $24.99 headline is the annual rate. If you are not ready for $299 up front, budget the monthly figure instead.
  4. Check the writing half separately. Before paying for anyone’s metered listing generator, run a couple of your own products through our free tools and see whether the writing was ever your real problem.

The verdict

If you need to be found, Sale Samurai: one price, everything included, and the only genuinely free way to evaluate the whole product. If you need to know what to make, EverBee, and go annual, because the monthly rate is the expensive way to buy it. If you are guessing which, Sale Samurai’s trial is the cheaper experiment. And if your listings are already getting found and what actually stalls you is writing them, neither tool is aimed at that, and our free tools will tell you in a couple of minutes.
